"Hanagae Recreation Area is Muuido’s signature leisure destination, widely regarded as one of the finest spots on the West Sea.

There is plenty to enjoy, from swimming and mud flat activities to fishing and marine sports.

The name of Hanagae Beach means “Muuido’s largest mud flat.” Along its 1.5 km shore lies fine sand, soft and powdery like flour.

When the tide comes in, the beachside bungalows create an unusual feeling as if you are floating on water.

With the beach facing west, visitors can watch the sun sink into the glowing red sea at dusk.

Ponae Fishing Tourism Village, and Kkachi Nolseom Village are long-established local villages in the area. Each is known as a traditional rural theme village and a farm stay village.

A range of hands-on activities is available, including mud flat experiences, clam digging, and fishing. 

Visitors can also meet residents of the local fishing village and enjoy their warm hospitality.

At low tide, a short walk onto the mud flat and a little digging are enough to find plenty of surf clams, conchs, crabs, and Manila clams.

Within the recreational area, visitors can enjoy horseback riding, ATVs, and Sea Sky World.

Sea Sky World uses a 413 m zip line wire connected to a 25 m tower set up on the sandy beach, sending riders gliding from a high point to a lower one as if flying through the air."
